68 pro golfers to take on PNG Open starting Thursday

<p>Club Captain of the Royal Port Moresby Golf Club, Ken Dunn said 68 pro-golfers from Australia, the Philippines, Fiji and even as far as South Africa will compete in the event.</p>

<p>He said this plus 40 amateur golfers from PNG and overseas.</p>

<p>He said $140, 000 (K346,792) Australian is up for grabs for the prize money at the PNG Open that will run from April 21st-24th.</p>

<p>The PNG Open was recently given an award for the Queensland PGA2015 Tournament of the Year. This means the PNG Open has moved up from Tier 3 to Tier 2.</p>

<p>This is the 22nd year of the PNG Open and the 8th year of SP Brewery’s sponsorship to the PNG Open.</p>
